Oral Sessions
PowerPoint Instructions
All session halls are equipped with standard PowerPoint presentation facilities.
Your presentation must be submitted to the Speakers’ Ready Room located in Hall 13 at least 60 minutes before the beginning of your session.
A technician is available in every session room to provide assistance when needed. Due to the online presentation system, all speakers are kindly requested to use the provided PC on-site.
Please come to the session room 15 minutes before the start of your session and follow the instructions of the Chairs and/or technician.
General Information
- Please use Microsoft PowerPoint* (*ppt or *pptx), or Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf) to guarantee they will open successfully on an on-site PC.
- You can use the conference template for your presentation. Download the EUROFOODCHEM XXIII PowerPoint (pptx) template here.
- We recommend saving your PowerPoint presentation in PPT or PPTX format.
- Please note that we cannot guarantee the quality of Apple-based presentations. Please check their Windows compatibility in advance (at least 2 hours before your session starts).
- Please prepare your presentation in 16:9 format (screens are in 16:9 aspect).
Pictures/Videos
- JPG images are the preferred file format for inserted images. GIF, TIF or BMP formats will be accepted as well.
- Images inserted into PowerPoint are embedded into the presentations. Images created at a dpi setting higher than 250 dpi are unnecessary and will only increase the file size of your presentation. Try to avoid overloading your presentation with unnecessary images.
- If your presentation contains videos, please test it on the on-site PC several hours before your session. Generally, the MP4 format should work with no difficulties. Video inserted into MS PowerPoint 2013 and higher versions are embedded into the presentations.
How to save your presentation
- Please save your presentation in one of the following discs or medium:
- USB flash disk
- External portable HDD/SSD
- Save all files associated with your presentation (PowerPoint file, movie/ video files, etc.) to one folder/location.
- If you present more than one presentation during the event, save different presentations to different folders and name them clearly with the presentation code to avoid onsite misunderstandings and problems.
- Always make a backup copy of your presentation and save it on a different portable disc or medium than the original presentation.
How to submit your presentation on-site
Please come to the Speakers Ready Room at least 1 hour before the beginning of your session with your USB stick or external portable hard drive. If your speech has been scheduled for the morning session, please come to the Speakers‘ Ready Room one day before in case of a morning session.

Other information
- During your lecture, you can use the remote control to control your presentation.
- Your own notebook will not be allowed to be used for presentation unless exceptionally scheduled.
- All presentations will be deleted from all the PC used during the event.
- We kindly ask all the speakers to keep the time of their presentations.
Poster Sessions
Poster size A0 (841 × 1189 mm) in portrait format is recommended.
We provide an on-site printing option. If you are interested in this service, you can purchase it when you register. Please note that you must send us the data for printing no later than 30 May 2025.
Printed posters will be available for pick up at the Registration desk (FCHPT Foyer). Each poster presenter will be provided with stickers to attach their poster to their assigned board.
The Poster Area is located in the FCHPT Library (2nd Floor). Authors will have access to it from Tuesday, 10 June 2025, at 17:00. Authors are asked to attach their posters on the boards before the first Poster Session.
We ask all presenting authors of Posters to be present during the Poster Sessions near their poster board.
